Ok so I’m seeing a lot of posts saying Yahoo is going to buy Tumblr and probably shut it down…this actually scares me.

     I haven’t been on Tumblr for very long (about a year) and I can honestly say it’s changed my life. People on here have been so nice to me, which isn’t something I’m that used too. Because of Tumblr and the users on this website, I managed to reach out and ask for help. I’ve been talked out of suicide because people noticed and they cared. I know this seems a little over dramatic for something that may not even happen, but I feel like this is something I can say and share. Honestly, I’m worried about Tumblr changing. If everyone starts joining Tumblr, then we lose the communities that have grown and stemmed from this website. And if this shuts down, then it kind of feels like it was all for nothing.

     Everyone’s blog is unique. Essentially, each blog is an individual and can tell you a lot about a person. What they like, what they hate, their habits, and even their stories. Sure there are people out there who spread hate and send hate but that’s going to happen no matter what. You have to expect that and find ways to move past it. If everyone starts to join here, then I feel like Tumblr will just turn into a website that people join, just to say they have one. And I don’t want to see that happen regardless.

     I don’t know, this was just something I’ve been thinking about. But if you read all of this, congrats to you :) and thank you ♥ ♥ ♥
